The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) was founded in 1861 and is one of the world's leading conservatoires.
LAMDA Exams are examinations in Drama (Acting and Musical Theatre) and Public Speaking, adjudicated by a specialist team from the school.

We use Microsoft Teams, integrated with Century Tech's innovative and responsive education platform to give our students 24/7 access to course materials and to make online lessons a breeze!
We match students with tutors and deal with all the payment and organisational admin. We book students in for their online examinations and our tutors provide regular, individualised feedback.

Entry Level and Introductory Courses
We teach LAMDA Exams from 6 years old (there is no upper age limit)!
Entry Level LAMDA Exams are designed to be a friendly introduction to Public Speaking and Drama Performance. They are best suited to younger students or those who are getting to grips with the English language.

Grades 1 -3
This level of LAMDA Exams is designed to introduce learners to basic Drama and Public Speaking skills. The student will not only be asked to perform text from memory or to hold a conversation with the LAMDA Examiner, but also to present to a wider audience.
These grades are open to all students aged 6 and over.

Grades 4 - 5
This level of LAMDA Exams is designed to introduce learners to more advanced Drama and Public Speaking skills. The student will not only be asked to perform a couple of monologues or a speech from memory but they will also be assessed on how they demonstrate a sound understanding of the material.
These grades are open to all students aged 6 and over, but we would recommend that younger students start at a lower grade.

Grades 6 - 8
This more advanced level of LAMDA Exams is designed to showcase a higher level of Drama and Public Speaking skills. The student will not only be asked to perform a couple of monologues or a speech from memory but they will also be assessed on how they demonstrate a sound understanding of the material and will be given a sight reading piece.
Grades 6 - 8 can earn you UCAS points, to help towards your UK university applications.
These grades are most appropriate for those aged 14 and above. There is no upper age limit.

How do I take LAMDA Exams?
The examinations themselves are booked for you by Ludo Tutors but adjudicated by an independent examiner from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.
Up until the date of your exam, you will work with your LAMDA Exams Tutor, specially selected from our pool of Tutors for their aptitude for teaching Drama and Public Speaking.
Over half of our Tutors are Oxbridge graduates and many of our Tutors have also attended the UK's leading Drama schools, so you're in good hands!
